Plans change. Here’s how we handle it.

This policy forms part of the EXPOSED Rental Agreement. Cancellation timing is measured from the scheduled rental start time shown in your reservation.

1. HOW TO CANCEL

Send your cancellation request to [email protected] and include your name and reservation number.

Additional accepted cancellation channel: Instagram @getxposed.co

The time the request is received through an accepted channel determines the applicable refund or credit. EXPOSED will acknowledge the cancellation.

Requests sent through other channels may not be received in time.

2. CANCELLATION SCHEDULE

For a rental beginning at 2:00 p.m., the 90-minute cutoff is 12:30 p.m.

3. ACCOUNT CREDIT

Eligible cancellation credit is issued to the original renter for future EXPOSED bookings.

Credit cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.

Security deposits are handled separately and are not converted to cancellation credit.

4. LATE CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

Cancellations received less than 90 minutes before the scheduled start are not eligible for a rental-payment refund or cancellation credit.

If the renter has not arrived within 30 minutes of the pickup appointment and has not received approval for another arrangement, EXPOSED may cancel the reservation as a no-show.

Delivery no-show/waiting rule: 30 minute wait fee

If no equipment was handed over, the unused security deposit will be refunded or released. Delivery and setup charges are handled as described below.

5. SECURITY DEPOSITS

For a canceled reservation where no equipment was handed over, the security deposit is refunded or released separately from rental-payment refunds or credits.

Security deposits are not retained solely as cancellation or no-show fees.

If equipment was handed over, deposit handling follows the Rental Agreement and Damage & Loss Policy.

6. DELIVERY & SETUP FEES

Delivery fees are refundable if delivery has not been dispatched.

Once the driver has been dispatched, the applicable delivery fee is nonrefundable.

Setup fees are refundable when setup has not been performed. Once setup has been performed, the applicable setup fee is nonrefundable.

7. RESCHEDULING

Rescheduling requires EXPOSED’s approval and equipment availability. A request alone does not change the original reservation.

Free rescheduling allowance: none or upon discretion
Required notice: 2 hours
Treatment of requests inside that deadline: cancellation or credit given
Price differences: 

If a request is not approved, the original reservation and cancellation deadlines remain in effect.

8. EXPOSED CANCELLATIONS & UNAVAILABLE EQUIPMENT

If EXPOSED cancels the entire reservation before fulfillment, rental payments and security deposits will be refunded or released, along with fees for unperformed services.

If a reserved item is unavailable, the renter may approve a substitute or receive a refund for the unavailable item.

Treatment of related delivery/setup charges: refund of payment

EXPOSED will not substitute equipment without the renter’s approval.

9. EQUIPMENT FAILURE

If equipment fails through no fault of the renter, the renter must report the issue promptly.

EXPOSED will offer a suitable replacement when available or provide the remedy specified in the Rental Agreement.

This exception is separate from choosing not to use functioning equipment.

10. WEATHER & PRODUCTION CHANGES

A canceled shoot, venue issue, weather change, or other production change does not automatically change the reservation or refund terms.

Optional weather/emergency exception: 

Any approved exception will be confirmed in writing.

11. REFUND PROCESSING

Approved refunds are initiated within1-2 BUSINESS DAYS.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method unless another lawful arrangement is agreed upon. Bank and payment-provider processing time is additional.

Account credit issuance timeframe: 2 BUSINESS DAYS

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
